looking for a ride from the Albany, NY area
We are in Copake, and will be driving down tomorrow morning. If you could meet us somehwere on the thruway south of Albany, we could drive you down. We won’t be coming back directly, as we will be stopping in Bardonia, NY on the way back. Call at 518 329 5207 if you get this in time, and still need a ride.
George Reiter
Thanks George. While I did find a ride down, I didn’t realize they’re not returning until Monday.
Please let me know if you’re returning on Sunday and have room in the car.

There are several in S. Fla (Miami and Palm Beach) who are planning/hoping to attend the gp convention and are speculating on ways to go. If you have a car or need a ride, keep in touch so we might mix and match as best works out for everyone!
I want to visit an old friend in Norfolk, VA after the convention. I could fly (I fly for free, as my husband works for United), but I thought it might be fun to get to know other Greens from the SE….if anyone is driving past that area. Cathy’s post made me think about that.
Hello, I am based in DC and am hoping to find a ride to and/or from B’more each day. If you’re doing that commute and have room, please contact me.
I’m looking for a ride from Dulles to Baltimore Thursday morning, so if you’re successful in finding a ride, let me know, thanks!
Hi Jesse — what time is your flight supposed to arrive? I want to leave Greenbelt Metro Station by 10:30 a.m. — you’d probably have to be on the 5A bus from Dulles at 8:40 a.m. to make it to Greenbelt by then. So that’s a long slog of an option, but let me know if you’re interested.
Jesse, you might also contact Wayne Turner on this ride board — for him to pick you up at Dulles would add about 30 miles to his trip from Chapel Hill, NC. And/or maybe he could help you on the way back on Sunday.
I expect to be driving daily from Garrett Park, MD, at least on Fri and Sat…possibly on Thurs if we decide it is worth it…Room for 2 people…
Lynn,
lynn-hello. i might be interested in that if nothing develops here in dc. maybe we can connect on wednesday when things are clearer. best way to reach me is at action08 @ gmail dot com
Hi everyone:

Thursday leaving Greenbelt 10:30 a.m.
Thursday leaving the convention reception 8:30 p.m.
Friday leaving Greenbelt 7:15 a.m.
Friday leaving the Metro Gallery fundraiser 10:00 p.m.
Saturday leaving Greenbelt 8:00 a.m.
Saturday leaving the Jill Stein fundraiser 11:00 p.m.
Sunday leaving Greenbelt 8:00 a.m.
Sunday leaving the Holiday Inn 2:00 p.m.
If these times aren’t quite right for you, contact me anyway and if you’re the only one asking, perhaps they can be adjusted a bit. Also, feel free to contact me for more information on public transit to and from Baltimore. I’m at john.stith@gmail.com and 301-502-3634.

Also looking for a ride from Baltimore to Dulles Sunday afternoon, thanks!
Jesse, I’m planning to leave Baltimore at 2:00 that day — if I drop you off at Greenbelt Metro station, you could probably make it to Dulles (Green Line then 5A bus) at 4:35 p.m.

Need a ride from Newark. I am flying standby
Newark looks like my best bet, but, gasp, Amtrak from there is over $100. Without a ride, I will try a different way.
Neglected to say arriving in Newark Wednesday morning.
Newark, Delaware or Newark, New Jersey????
Newark NJ
Sanda, from Newark, NJ you could take a commuter train (just a few dollars) into Manhattan, then Bolt Bus (about $17 at this point) from 33rd St & 7th Avenue in Manhattan, to Baltimore. The Bolt Bus stop at Penn Station is just a couple blocks from the University of Baltimore convention venue.
Forgot to say — Bolt Bus is a well-run service in my experience — owned by Greyhound, drivers are unionized. It is not one of the “Chinatown” carriers recently shut down for safety violations.
My other reply didn’t post because I put a hyperlink in it. Sanda, if you haven’t found a ride, you can get from Newark Airport to Manhattan pretty easily on local commuter trains, for just a few dollars. And then you can take Bolt Bus from 33rd and 7th St in Manhattan to Penn Station in Baltimore, which is right next to the Green Party convention venue on Thursday and Friday. The Bolt Bus tickets are currently going for about $17.
I will be driving from Philadelphia on the 11th in the afternoon and will leave for home after the convention. I have room for 3 to 4 passengers. Call me at 215 829 8954 or 215 806 2726 Vivek
I’ll be driving to/from the convention from Annapolis, MD each day. If you need a ride along that route, let me know. Karen 443-370-4694
Looking for a ride from NYC -Manhattan to Baltimore on Thursday 7/12 – Claudia 646-282-6957
Hi Claudia — if you can’t find a ride, consider Bolt Bus (the unionized carrier owned by Greyhound) — it’s stop at Baltimore’s Penn Station is just a couple blocks from the University of Baltimore convention venue. At this moment, tickets for Thursday are running around $17.
I can give rides to form Patapsco State Park to the meetings, Thurs-Sun, scheduling permitting.
